This project encourages open source driver development for iRiver's iFPportable music players. Ifp-driver was started by Pavel Kriz with ifp-line, acommand-line program and the first Free iFP driver. Today, the ifp-drivermailing listis a hub of discussion for iFP driver development: participantsinclude everyone from authors of spin-off projects, to prospectiveowners/users.

Once again Iriver shows is almost mystical engineering skills. Like the 190tc, the weight of the player with battery is incredible. Easily under 50 grams and fits into your hand. The battery seems to last longer on the 799 then my 190tc.

Unless otherwise noted, projects support all iRiver iFP devices. Users havereported successfully accessing models iFP-1xx,3xx,5xx,7xx,8xx,9xx and N10. Wedon't anticipate difficulty supporting future models.

(Note: iRiver offers 'UMS' firmware for some iFP models. Devices running UMSfirmware are compatible with generic USB Mass Storage drivers, and do notneed any of the drivers mentioned here.) Microsoft word art free download 2007.

This is a maintance release of libifp that addresses a number of issues including character locales and portability.

With the release of 1.0.0.1, libifp has entered its first 'stable' cycle. Libifp is a general-purpose driver for communicating with iRiver's iFP portable music players.
